The Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) working with Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing to develop and deliver the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT).
International Medical Admissions test ( IMAT) is a 100 minute subject-specific admissions test in English for applicants to medicine and surgery and dentistry courses. These courses are taught in English, with places hospitable both home and international students.

The test doesn’t require tons of additional study because it may be a test of skills and knowledge that learners are expected to possess already.

IMAT Foundation Program. This will prepare Indian students to qualify in IMAT so as to get admission in M.D. at a public Medical University

Test Format:

IMAT may be a pen-and-paper test. it’s divided into four sections:

Section 1: Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge:

Section – Logical Reasoning and General knowledge

What does it test? – Generic skills in problem solving, understanding argument, data analysis and inference; public knowledge .

Questions – 22 multiple-choice questions

Please note, scores are going to be reported separately for Logical Reasoning and General knowledge .

Section 2, 3 and 4: Scientific Knowledge:

Section – Scientific knowledge

What does it test? – the power to use Scientific knowledge from school science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Math’s.

Questions – 38 multiple-choice questions

Scoring and Results:

A candidate’s total score is calculated using the subsequent formula:

1.5 points for every correct answer
-0.4 (Minus) points for every wrong answer
0 (Zero) points for every question not answered.
An overall total score are going to be reported, along side a score on each section.

IMAT dates & Exams:

Registration opens: per annum 1st week of July

Registration closes: per annum last week of July

Exam dates : per annum 2nd or 3dr week of September
